OnePlus is working on a new battery health feature that could roll out to users with the Android 15 update. The feature will automatically limit charging to 80% when a device is charging for long periods.

Code spotted in OnePlus’ second release of Android 15 beta (h/t: 1NormalUsername on X, formerly Twitter) points toward more changes coming to Oxygen OS’s Charging Limit feature.
Currently, in Oxygen OS 14, users can choose to limit their device to 80% battery to try to slow down battery aging. In a future version of Oxygen OS, possibly Oxygen OS 15, OnePlus devices will be automatically limited to 80% battery charge if left on for too long. No user data will be needed for this.
